Yes — that swing is the exact Dubai makeup challenge. We use a dual-layer base (hydrating primer for outdoor heat, mid-weight foundation that behaves in AC), and setting spray is applied in two rounds: before the outdoor shoot and again as the bride transitions indoors. A fresh powder touch-up happens at the transition point. What you don’t want is a single heavy setting application at the start — that’s what goes cakey when the temperature drops.
Atlantis and Bulgari have very different lighting (tropical-bright vs warm-luxe) — does the team plan for venue-specific adjustments?
Venue lighting research is part of the trial preparation. Atlantis ballrooms have cooler, bright-modern lighting that calls for warmer-toned contour. Bulgari’s more tungsten-warm spaces call for cooler contour to balance. We review the venue’s wedding photo archive before the trial so the look is calibrated for that specific room, not a generic ‘hotel ballroom’.
What’s the travel logistics for the team for a Dubai wedding?
The team flies as a unit (3–4 people), carries the full kit in specialist travel cases, and lands 1–2 days before the first function. Visa and flights are coordinated by us; bride covers the travel costs as itemised line items. Accommodation (a hotel room for the team at or near the venue for the event duration) is the bride’s responsibility — usually coordinated with the wedding’s overall room block.
